Pandora by Anne Rice
Pandora is a woman who lives in ancient Greek times. There she falls in love with a man named Marius. Her father finds out about this and tells him to leave. She marries a man, but divorces him some years later because he is sterile. Her older brother gets jealous and sends some soldiers to kill his father and his whole family. Since she escapes, she leaves for a different country. There she finds out that the brother who betrayed them is there and wants to kill her. She also finds Marius as a vampire. She tells him that she has been having dreams about a vampire queen who is suffering. He tells her it is his queen Akasha along with the vampire king. Pandora and Marius together must fight off other vampires to protect the queen and king. This book is awesome! And if you like vampire books, I suggest you read the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice.

So Yesterday by Scott Westerfeld
In this novel by the same author who wrote the Peeps series, the main character, Hunter is a teen with an eye for the next great fad. He is part of a team of “cool hunters” who help companies market products to teens – an industry where there’s a LOT of money to be made. Hunter soon meets Jen, a true Innovator – one of those types who defines her own style – the kind of person everyone looks at a bit funny but then quickly imitates. Hunter knows there’s the potential to use Jen’s creativity for profit. They become friends, but there’s clear signals that their friendship could be more. Hunter and Jen are scheduled to meet with a PR rep at a shady location in Manhattan, but the rendezvous turns dangerous, and they become entangled in a very interesting missing-person adventure. The story is moves quickly, has lots of action and an absorbing mystery while posing some interesting questions about our culture and commercialization.

Probably one of the best books of the inheritance series yet. If you read the first 2 books then this should just put more icing on the cake. With War raging in Alagaseia, Eragon has finally learned of how Glabo triox gets his powers. With a series of small humor and non-stop strategic action this book should be at the top of most peoples book reading list.
